I thought you said county players were as thick as shit
Most of them are because most of them havenāt thought about the issues as a whole in relation to how they affect the GAA as a whole.
Stackās contribution there is one of the more thoughtful Iāve heard from the perspective of a player. Heās been going 18 months without a break. Conor Glass and some of the other Glen lads have been going for much longer than that without a serious break.
Where is the respite for players?
Theyāre amateurs, they can take off anytime like a lot of them already do.Nothing stopping any lad hanging up his boots for a year.
I do wonder is that where we are going.
Feb to sept inter county season with a mirrored club campaign.
I kind of straight knock out club championship in October.
A lot of lads especially from the so called weaker counties have taken time out especially since COVID.Theyve figured out thereās more to life than slogging all winter and spring to get bet by 20 PTS in the championship. But life goes on.
Yeah, let the GAA die, fuck it, itās of no value.
Itās absolutely insanity this has happened
your very ratty today lad.For a fella whoās probably never laced a pair of boots you have all the answers. The Gaa will never die, thereāll always be lads looking to play.
The GAA will wither away and die a slow death if lads like you have your way.
With supposed friends like you it doesnāt need enemies.
Next man up. As is always the case.
What about maybe growing the games? Like every other sport has to do bar soccer?
Heās right to be far. If Podcasts etc didnāt exist thereād actually be nothing
When did the teams do their press nights?
Extremely low key build up and itās all very sad but you donāt even have time to digest the weekends results. Itās nearly like Dublin v Galway didnāt happen.
Hail the split season!
It fucking happened alright
A tough one for ye no doubt but ye have success after success for 13 years so itās not too bad.
