Wouldnāt Galway race course be in the Castlegar parish?
Fcuk cashel an all
It most certainly is. The great Ger Farragher is from the estate just as you enter the racecourse from the Parkmore side.
There would be a few. Still farming land in the likes of two mile ditch and towards Menlo. Any site there now would be worth a few bob.
Sure Bearna are far from a small club and are pretty much a city club now
When they start pillaging SpidƩal for players and look for planning permission to build a clubhouse in Inverin you can call them a city club.
The good folk of Rockbarton Road and Dr Mannix Road will rise again!

Galway GAA is advancing plans to erect floodlights at the organisationās flagship stadium in Salthill ā more than a decade after proposals were first lodged.
The Galway County Board this week invited private contractors to signal their interest in delivering the floodlights project at Pearse Stadium.
The estimated value of the work, according to the tender, was around ā¬8m. Contractors have been asked to register their interest before tenders are whittled down.
Galway City Council had granted planning permission for the project in 2014, despite objections by up to 100 neighbouring residents. This was appealed to An Bord PleanĆ”la which backed-up the Councilās decision.
Construction work never got going due to a lack of finance. The GAA then lodged an application to extend the time they had to carry out the works.
That was given the go-ahead by city planners who granted the County Board another five years to complete the work ā until January 2025.
Last year, the ruling pact on Galway City Council allocated some funding in its budget for this year to go towards the provision of floodlights at the venue.
Wards will make millions off Saturday night games
Theyāll end up putting the lights up in tonabrockey, along with the rest of it.
GAA not happy with Supermacās I seeā¦ Non-story.
Still stunned Darcy is making the starting team even with the injuries. Slower than a week in Tuam. Not his fault in fairness.
Some great talent in the U20 squad on paper but we rarely seem to play to our potential at this grade. Recently anyway.
Apparently the Sligo game was mighty
Yeah brilliant game of football. Tactics out the window. Just two teams going up and down the field looking to score. Galway almost fucked away a 9 point lead because they couldnāt defend high balls into the square.
Still Sligo missed a hape by all accounts. Hit the bar three times,?
Is that Lawless number 2 the same lad thatās on the senior panel?
Younger brother I presume. Eoin is on the senior panel.
Ok, thanks.
Is Rory Burke injured?edit: heās at 6.
Maccartaigh not starting is surely a good omen.
Badly need to see a bit of progress at this grade. Weāve been nothing short of shite from the majority of the last 10-15 years.
