Good to see Portumna back up and running with a few young players. Mellows gone back into the pack, got their county championship though unlike Cappy, Turlough and Craughwell.

There a serious club. They love their hurling up around there.

Thereā€™s no soccer up in Bullaun or New Inn national schools. Young lads bring their hurls in every day, and no more about it. Small, but highly committed numbers, driven on by a few lunatic coaches. Same as Beagh / Kilbeacanty.

Thereā€™s a secondary school in New Inn too isnā€™t there. Camogie team the best in the land. Good breeding for the next generation again. Itā€™s amazing what nature and nurture leads to.
