Galway have got to 2 All-Ireland finals with Peter Cooke abroad but given his performance this weekend, I imagine they would still love to have him available next year.

Im a big fan of Cooke. That looked to be some performance, especially for a lad thats missed a lot of football. Big addition to Galway if he can be tied down.
As an aside Sean Kelly, Comer, Walsh and McDaid have all played in the club championship and in kellys case in meaningless games. Comer went off injured against killanin too and was a doubt for yesterday.
Only Rob Finnerty has gone and got his injury addressed. I know players always want to play championship for the club but i just dont get how kelly in particular doesnt stop playing until his injuries are fully sorted. Hes but a shadow of his former self and its starting to look like heāll never get back there if he continues to play.
Cian O Neill going to Kerry is a big blow too, Iād say he was the main brains of the operation. Any word on a replacement? I heard dessie dolans and jayos names mentioned
