Galway - quadruple travails part 2

Agreed.

Paul has been good this year, but I think he’d be even better coming off the bench with 20 minutes to go.

The legeens are gone on Conroy for sure and he could get exposed in Croker again but I’ve never wanted to see a lad win an All-Ireland more in my time following Galway football teams. He got plenty of chances to make a few pound abroad in America in the summer but he stuck around when they were sneaking past Waterford and Tipp at home in the qualifiers. An absolute die for the cause man.

How did the house draw go lads? County board make much off it?

Conroy supplies most kick passes to the forwards. Maher has been a real find.

Well said @Diabhal. A fantastic footballer and a great bit of stuff with it. I’d LOVE IT if he won an All Ireland medal. LOVE IT.

2 down 1 up again this year to get down to 16.

How do they work the relegation playoffs - is it the three bottom teams?

Yes, round robin with the 3 bottom teams as far as I can remember.

In terms of quality, probably the best County Championship in either code in Ireland.

Only 7 or 8 teams can win the All Ireland Club Football Championship and three of them are in Galway.

John Divilly’s son playing for Dublin schools team last week. He’ll be able to kick the ball anyway.

What Club in Dublin is Divilly?

He coached Cuala at one point.

He lived in Leixlip for years.

The young lad plays with Na Fianna. Not sure if John is involved.

The rest are poor quality though.

The rest in Galway?

I wouldnt say that - Salthill and a few more are good.

Really? Expand please.

18 teams senior isnt it. At least 6 too many.
