Galway getting off to a suitably shambolic start to the city of culture.

Still better than Limericks opening ceromony

Really? Has a tonne of this cash not been swallowed by the council types in ‘admin oversight’ bollox?

Theme song of Galway Arts

Sssshhh

The council are acting as bewilered as the rest of but they are ultimately to blame as much as anyone. Whatever early issues and costs were racked up they were hoping would be washed away with the thing itself throughout 2020 and all would be forgotten or at least justified. Then Covid came along and the feeling is they have been caught red rotten with their paws in the cookie jar from day one. The one thing they certainly cannot do is blame COVID19, this article is from two years back, the writing was on the wall then. We need some updates

I went full roaster again this evening, vegetable soup and roast beef with a pint a milk.5 star.

You love taking the soup above in Gort, @Massey.

There’s a lovely fancy cafe place across the square but if you’re in the mood for a roast dinner then no man would keep you out of Sullivan’s

Going to Galway city for a few days this week
Any recommendations for good ate-ing houses?

Sullivan’s above has been noted if I want to collapse into a food coma

The Gallery? Beside Sullivans. It’s lovely.

I think you might be mixing Sullivans with O’Gradys. Gort has a bit enough roaster hinterland to carry 2 fantastic Sunday dinner options.
