General Election 2011

Eoin O’Broin missed out narrowly I see.

Larry, how is Donnelly getting on in Wicklow? I would like to see him get in, i believe you backed him at 8/1.

I hate to break it to you Larry but Derry is in a different country.

Looks like Boyd B will get in in Dun Laoghaire.ULA doing very well if he gets in.

He is doing well.Between himself and SF for the last seat.First count not in yet but he will come in around fifth in that (five seater) .Transfers will be key. Have fairly large sum on him all right.

Very good day for them alright. The forum is understandably a bit disappointed at Green Party losing out (and we’ll need to reassess our voting instructions for future elections) but there’s going to be a very large left presence in the Dáil, albeit in opposition. It’s an improvement anyway even if the main party in government themselves will have shifted slightly right.

On that note I didn’t think FG liked saying that they’re “centre-right” but Olivia Mitchell was using the term earlier.

Good luck with it, Larry.

Thanks Dunph.

Cowen still trying to flog the same old shit.

As a left winger Larry has a real decision to make here. Does he support a left wing candidate who is solid on the national question or does he support the guy he backed who is way over on the right of the scale? It’s the national interest v Larry’s pocket and all his posts seem to be directed at landing his gamble.

Sickening.

The Wicklow delay is due to large number of candidates obviously being a factor but also seems that a couple of Independent candidates had no logo so they had a blank box for their logo and there are debates about whether marks in that box instead of the proper voting box should be valid or spoiled.

Mary hanafin still in with a good shout in DL ahead of RBB despite what RTE are saying I reckon. Really hope RBB can do it.

SF’s Brady is a little flakey on some social issues and I’m sure Donnelly is secure on the national question.I see Brady as being on the hard right of SF and I see Donnelly as being the sort of radical guy we need who in time will drift towards the left!

Returning officer talking to Sargent.Looks like he is on the way out.

Sargent looks like he’s out. Returning officer talking to him now…

Greens were poor in government and that’s a tough lesson learned. Sargent was one of the good guys though.

Sargent is out.

Anyone who claps this post will be banned.

I dont think were going to hear the fate of Healy Rae and O’Donoghue tonight at the rate they’re going. Still no first count.

Only 217 votes between O’Brien and Farrell but guessing Sargent will transfer more to Farrell. Daly is nearly over the line so she’ll be elected anyway.

<_<

Sargent

Charlie J is looking good in Laois Offaly
