@croppy_boy will tell you that they shouldnât be doing that though
That is not their job.
Everything they âgetâ for the constituency comes at a price of something that might not happen elsewhere. That kind of self interest bullshit politics is the reason we have a glorified Banana Republic.
1800 looks a big gap between Alan Shatter and Catherine Martin but I think this one is far from done and dusted and will be very close. Martin should pull ahead of Butler and White and where their transfers go will decide it. Think Martin can do it but too close to call with any certainty.
Iâd agree with him in that regard.
Parish pump politics are a joke. Sure everyone wants to look after their own patch, but whatâs the opportunity cost of it?
The national parliament needs to deal with national issues.
County Councils should run Counties, to have governments beholden to individuals is not democracy.
Dublin Rathdown second count - Martin trounces Shatter on Renua transfers. If that trend continues Shatter is not safe.
Build a bridge.
Maybe ask a County Councillor to do it for you.
Jesus Christ Mary Lou is looking terrible
Sheâs an excellent politician, Future leader leader of SF guaranteed.
I agree with you but do you think the people of Kerry give one fuck about anyone else? No, and I wouldnât either.
The Healy Reaâs donât have a notion about Brussels or bond holders. Sort out Johnny down the road with his college grant application and you have his (and his families) vote for life.
The likes of the Collins dynasty and Dan Neville have served term after term but achieved practically nothing for the constituency.
Iâm not a shiner by any stretch of the imagination but I agree with you on this.
Sheâs spot on about the arrogance of FG/Lab.
This is spot on.
I agree. She could be Taoiseach some day. First female Taoiseach and also first Taoiseach with a hole like a bag of cement.
Brian Cowen says hello.
Aylwards have been doing it for FF for as long and will continue to do so by the looks of it.
Very impressive speaker, can see her being Taoiseach down the line for definite.
Fair point. Forgot all about Brianâs ample hoop
Jarry to step aside and Mary Lou to become tanaiste in order for the two republican partyâs to take control
Most of the politicians from the left dont appear to have much interest in forming the next government. More interested in pushing a FF/FG coalition and âholding them to accountâ.
Broadband issue there from the Offaly count centre
