I assumed that as the incumbent and someone whoā€™s highly popular in the area that sheā€™d be very transfer friendly from all candidates. I donā€™t know a lot about Gannon however.

Ah theyā€™re delighted Iā€™d say mate, they must be looking over at Lucinda and saying thank fuck thatā€™s not us.

Good chance Renua will get no seats, end of her political career.

Limerick County done. Emmett 1700 shy after the shinner was eliminated.

Great drama in Wexford. I posted earlier that I was trying to figure out if only 1 FG would get in and allow both Mythen and Wallace to be returned. Thereā€™s a chance that this could happen but itā€™s probably no more than a slight chance. I donā€™t think Malcolm Byrne will bridge the gap to the others in the shake up for the last 2 seats, even with transfers from his fellow FF candidate Aoife Byrne. Iā€™d love it if Paul Kehoe was squeezed out. Love it.

Based in my reading of the RTE website, it looks like Quinlivan has edged Jan by 25 votes. Not a mention on RTE. Scandalous.

Potential recount.

guaranteed. Looks like @ChocolateMice 's vote was crucial in the end.

Tight call as to whether Malcolm Byrne can overhaul Mythen on the second last count. Balance of probabilities at this stage would say no as the gap has grown quite large.

How will Carthy (IND) transfer?

If FF donā€™t overhaul Mythen, is there an outside chance Mythen could overhaul Kehoe on FF transfers?

Distributing Leonard Kellyā€™s (SOC DEM) transfers now.

Its really fascinating - any idea where Leonard Kelly and Ger Carthys transfers would be likely to go?

What Sinn Fein have that the other parties donā€™t have is people who made big sacrifices in order to better society and their people. They have the tangible proof to show their cause for a just society is sincere.

Rte say quinlivan has it but Jan will beat the blueshirt

not sure bud.

I think RTE have made a mess of their graphic. All other sources say Cian Prendivilleā€™s 6,724 votes are being distributed with the score as you stated in your post.

Quinlivan and Oā€™Sullivan will be elected.

Mythen is 248 votes behind Kehoe after the distribution of AAA-PBP. Kehoe doesnā€™t look that transfer friendly. Ger Carthy, Social Democrats, Aoife Byrne and youā€™d imagine Malcolm still remain to be eliminated. Problem for Mythen is nobody is near the quota yet. Wallace is 2,400 shy so he will probably hoover up a good few of those transfers.

Yeah think you are right. The transfers added in the graphic are 3000 odd which was the SD candidate;s.

No. By my reading the AAA votes have to be distributed. These will go heavily to Quinlivan.

Yeah definitely, O;Donnell will get nothing on transfers

Carthy is from Our Ladyā€™s island in the Wexford district in the south of the county. His late father was an Independent Councillor for about 50 years. Neither specific pro/anti establishment type of independents - just want to do the best for the people types. I think heā€™ll probably transfer strongly enough to Howlin by virtue of location and possibly to Wallace and Mythen to a lesser extent if his first preference votes were from people who felt let down by the government parties. But, sitting on the fence, heā€™s the rounded type of independent who could share transfers around.

agreed

Dont doubt me
