Mythen picked up a spread of first preference votes from all around the county and has been picking up a healthy level of transfers from eliminated candidates based all around the county too. It’s getting quite tight after himself and Wallace gained heavily from the elimination of Deirdre Wadding (AAA). I’m getting more and more hopeful that he can catch Kehoe now. I think Malcolm Byrne won’t catch him even with Aoife Byrne’s votes and that Mythen will then do better than Kehoe from Ger Carthy’s and M Byrne’s elimination.

@Smark

we did it baby, thanks for the umpteen votes from your family.

Feel bit sorry for Jan O’Sullivan there
not the worst of them.

Jim Kemmys goodwill is long gone by the look of it.

she still has a fighting chance

I just flicked it on there on a radio add break. It is hilariously bad. David McCullagh looked utterly confused looking at Carlow Kilkenny and said Jennifer Murnane O’Connor will probably take the last seat for Fianna Fail. Completely forgot to factor in that there’s a surplus of 2,600 from the Pope to distribute between the two Carlow based candidates and Farmer Pat is only 524 votes behind her.

24 votes in it?

I hope Maurice gets in he is always involved in community work the recent floods especially.

Are the Dublin Central electorate all strung out on heroin? Tiny quota.

Had the radio on all day. Just watched the telly for the last hour or so. Shocking stuff. The two boys are wrecked and bored. Can’t believe they missed the Kerry count.

Half of prendeville’s votes expected to be non-transferrable in limk city

Yes but the left overs look to be anti labour so Maurice should squeak it.A recount looks guaranteed with nothing in it though!

Everyone’s a winner.

What’s the outcome here? The blue shirts did poorly, the soldiers are back, labour gone and the rastoolers/wasters proved they couldn’t manage a piss up running too many candidates? Who will the government be.

Quinlivan will be elected.

Only question is whether O’Sullivan can make up the difference on O’Donnell. I think she will.

Cork South Central adjourns for the night.

No surprise to see a constituency dominated by FG and FF big cheeses shirking work.

Will Jerry Buttimer sneak up and take Donnchadh O’Laoighaire from behind or do you expect the young Sinn FĂ©in man to hold onto the final seat?

The Healy Raes will be appointed Taoiseach and Tanaiste respectively.

Rahoo! Only right, all politics is local. Do the junkies in Dublin give a fuck about the small farmers in Kerry and vice versa? Hopefully this will hasten the break up of the ‘republic’

This election count is great entertainment.

Is that fella Halligan in Waterford from Pavee point @Fagan_ODowd

I’d go for O’Laoighaire but only on a 51-49 probability ratio. Squeaky bum time both for the young Sinn Fein candidate and for Bottomer.
