I didn’t mention density. I was looking for equivalence. If you pick an area with 5 million people in China that is similar in size to Ireland, you can compare then. Nothing to do with density.
You can beat yourself up all you want and think Ireland is worse than China. What we produce yearly is produced by the minute over there.
but shur, you could pick an area in China where they barely have electricity to suit your cause… A bit like Co. Clare in Ireland. You can’t nit pick… Per population we’re worse… Of course they are worse in the wider sense but we’re in no place to sit back sneering.

That’s exactly my point it isn’t statistically equivalent because we are in no way comparable to china, nor even a province in china.
Listen, mate. Over all figures are of course the most important… But how can we get a measure of performance if we don’t break it down? Per head, we are some of the worst polluters in the western world, that’s fact. Now, with china being a zillion times larger than us of course it follows they produce worse emmissions …if that helps you sleep better, good for you. But as an individual you are doing a lot more damage than Hong or Chin-Li are.
