General Election 2020 Part 2

Heā€™s taking a serious pay cut to serve the State. What does the AG get paid? About ā‚¬180k? Heā€™d be pulling in 7 figures in the Law Library every year, I would think.

Chump Martin wonā€™t see out 2020.

Not if the greens have their way!

But giving it to Gallagher and justice to mcentee must be a real kick in the stones to Miriamā€™s brother

Former senator Harris was gas on newstalk about an hour ago I caught some of it.

Martin sold out big time and tucked over some big names in FF. To think the deputy leader didnā€™t get a cabinet position. The knives will be out for him now.

I see that bollox ROD has backed Martin, the West Limerick brigade have been made a show of as per.

The country learned its lessons on snap general elections in the 80ā€™s and early 90ā€™s. The three general elections in 1981 and 82 in the space of 18 months ruined the country. Fianna FĆ”il went for snap election in 89 & 92 thinking they could get overall majorities and were punished for doing so both times. Since the 1992 election, every parliament has pretty much gone full term, despite prophecies of doom about short lived coalition governments. This government has a majority of 30.

Yeah . Martin sees big Jim as the biggest threat to his leadership I reckon

Heā€™s effectively conceding Jim will lead ff the week after his stint as Taoiseach ends.

I hope it works. I dont wish them Iā€™ll at all. Like I said I just think thereā€™s still a lot of conservative thinking out there

Regina Doherty the new leader of the Seanad. One of the 11 nominees. Lorraine Clifford-Lee despite multiple election defeats in the last year and mouthing off about travelers is in as well. Vincent Martin, brother of Catherine in for the Greens. No place for Kate Oā€™Connell though.

Be good to see Regina and Norris facing off again, especially given norrisā€™ being repulsed by cunts.

Fuck Kate. Her mouth is big enough as it is. (I still would though)

I missed it.

He was very impressive on local radio earlier. A strong voice for his constituents whoā€™ll vote on each issue individually - he wonā€™t vote for or against the government blindly one way or the other. Heā€™ll work with the government if needs be to get local initiatives done.
