GGA Crowd Watch 2017

Those terraces are brutal. Shame.

Stop lads, itā€™s a success in itself we managed to build a stadium thatā€™s complete on all 4 sides

You arenā€™t great at estimating crowds .

63% full for itā€™s first game, understandable that many of the locals will be waiting until tomorrow but that is poor nonetheless for an opening game.

63% is not close to being full.

Closer to full than empty so I do beg to differ with you.

The GAA is dying on its feet by the looks of it. There is a case for playing some of the football qualifiers in club grounds.

One of the great munster rivalries attracted a pitiful crowd in Cork yesterday. Frank must have been wondering why he bothered his bollix.

Was there any effort to discount a few tickets for terraces or anything get a better crowd in?

Nothing @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy hasnā€™t been saying for years

The queue of traffic through Killeagh and Castlemartyr later today will be a sight to behold

Apparently there is a motor rally on in Midleton as well today :fearful::joy::joy:

A motorway from Ennis to Cork would have helped matters.

At least it opens up a bit there. Ridiculous to have this game in Cork

Iv huge sympathy for the brave and the faithful GAA fans having to make these horrendous trips once or twice a year.

The match in Cork attracted 3,000 more than the capacity of Thomond Park.

No wonder it did and there only about 6 worthwhile games a year. It would have attracted a sell out 15 years ago.

Itā€™s this kind of head in the sand attitude is holding the GAA back

Three thousand more people attended that match than have ever attended a rugby match in Munster.

The combined quarter final attendance 15 years ago attracted 41,000 to Croke Park. If we get a crowd of 13k today we will have beaten that.

Sweep sweep

You canā€™t deal with facts that donā€™t coincide with your biases

Well the facts are munster have regularly sold out the largest venue available to them in Munster so it is a silly comparison. The Aviva was sold out for a Munster game in recent months against Saracens

Are you comparing a European final between a French team and a representative team to a stick stick game at quarter finals between 2 rural Irish counties?
