Gigs coming up

Hello Doblin

There is a touch of musical genius about Beck.

You were at him last night yeah?

I heard that his gigs are meant to be excellent - very quirky.

The Breeders in Vicar Street on Sunday.

Not too magnolia for you?

I was due to go to their gig which was cancelled due to the snow, I can’t make this one unfortunately. Their new album is getting good reviews.

I was yeah, absolutely excellent.his most recent album is great too.

What?

I’ve an irrational dislike of Beck, can’t fucking stand his music, though luckily it hasn’t been shoved down my throat in about 20 years.

Bland. Beige. Magnolia.

It was a play on words and Beck song titles.

Oh. No I don’t think he’s bland. He was far more camp than I expected though.

A lot of artists are. You said you saw Aiden Gillen. He is quite camp with a very camp “real life” speaking voice.

A lot of artists are camp?

Is one of your appliances leaking carbon monoxide.

As they said in Only Fools and Horses:

‘They’re all a bit Stoke-on-Trent. You need to watch your deaf and dumb in that game’.

He was just on Big Weekender on BBC4 - cracking show

Nothing irrational about it at all.

Heading to Father John Misty tonight in Vicar Street. Seems to be back on song with the upcoming new album after the underwhelming ‘Pure Comedy’. Few tickets available still.

Saw him twice before, very good both times.
