Stevie Wonder at the Point 1 November. Playing Songs in the Key of Life for its 50th anniversary. He’s 76. Tickets are pricey. Start at €141. Presale tomorrow. I’ll probably go. It’s one of my favorite album.

I’d be more of an Innervisioms man and if he was playing that then I’d definitely be there.

€221 to sit up the back of the Point and see Stevie Wonder in the distance? They’re having a laugh.

You’d still see more than Stevie himself will see.

This is a legend though.

It’s not as if its Dermot Kennedy or someone.

Although Stevie did play at Rory McIlroy’s wedding. Hungry fucker.

Nah. There comes a stage where you have to say to yourself they’re taking the piss here and the jokes not going to be on me.

I doubt Stevie is a golf fan.

I’d say it will still sell out?

I’m sure it will. The tickets were going like hot cakes in the pre sale.

Bananas price for it but that’s the way it’s gone now. These tours of playing albums right through are becoming all the rage. I’m very dubious about them, there’s few enough albums that really merit it.

Big thing now at all levels. Money in nostalgia

I’ve been to a couple of them, first half of the show and they do the album, then play a bunch of other hits for the rest of the show.

The ou can’t blame them - Spotify has hollowed out album sales so the road is only way to generate decent coin

They’ve been the rage for a long time.

Pixies doing Doolittle in 2009 for the 20 year anniversary was the first I heard of it being done.

Stevie Wonder must be up to his ears in coin.

I’d say he couldn’t spend it in a hundred lifetimes

I’m happier to give my money to Seamus Fogarty. Going to see him twice in November.
