Not really, pal, more a venue that is a nice homely bar in the city centre with a vibrant atmosphere. I have suggested a venue so I’m now awaiting approval.
I like P.Mac’s, pal. Could be deemed a hipster place but the service is good, atmosphere/decor is grand and they play decent tunes.
The Long Hall would tick all those boxes.

Glas’s facebook girl update. Drinks tomorrow, which had been arranged as a non datey type hang out, cancelled because she wants to ride me (paraphrasing) and it’s too soon for that.
Positives: she wants to ride me. Negatives: having dropped this on the table she can’t now come along and meet me for drinks in anything resembling a no tension situation. Think she’ll be down to limerick over Christmas so there’ll be a night out with mutual friends. Now we play the waiting game.
