Strange that he was allowed lift it at all. Doubt he placed it back as it was before.
He was claiming that his ball had settled back into it’s own pitchmark when it had bounced a good two foot right on impact into an entirely separate pivot. It was a poor lie but he still could see all of the back of the ball.
What advantage was he seeking ?
I think he was trying to claim that it bounced into someone else’s pitch mark on second bounce but made a further indentation in doing so. Ridiculous.
