Not sure when the cut-off is this year, but he got approved or whatever for a PGA Tour pension which is worth about 275k for being five years on tour, that has taken a lot of pressure off him.
Wow⦠275k a year? For how long?
He has about 2.5m quid won there is fear of his holeā¦def picks up his costs every year in deals to use clubs clothing etc
Doubt heās picking up huge money in endorsements as it is. You wouldnāt be long burning thru a mil between caddy, coach, management etc
Ya but Iād say it costs a fortune to be on tour.
Minimum of 125k a year expenses they reckon and that is doing it cheap
Heās made the 2.5m over 4 seasons on PGA tour⦠Give it 250k a season cost he is up 1.5mā¦i doubt he is absolutely loaded but he has definitely cleared few hundred k a year out of it⦠And thatās just prize money
Rich Beem has a book about his early days on tour. From the get go you would be picking up 20k for using calla way irons, 15k for a driverā¦your hat, your T shirts etc would all generate a few quid.
Beem was at least a big a nobody as Power when he joined the tour. Possibly bigger unknown. Power had a bit of success on minor tours
Yes but Beem was from Murica?
A clubs a club
Beem won a major mate
He got the deals the day he played his first comps. He had no agent nothing. Reps on course throwing money at him to use their equipment. Book is actually very good. And gives good insight to it⦠It ends before he won the PGA but they tacked on an epilogue
He seems like a good lad on the telly. Doesnāt take himself too seriously
Noren w/o Finau, Thompson & Werenski at 12/1
This has the feel of turning into car-crash stuff for the leaders
Havenāt tuned in yet, backed triangle without the 2
Thompson holding fairly steady here, Finau disappointing again on a Sunday
Thatās some stat for Chucky Three Sticks. 96th top ten in 569 Tour starts. Over $37 million earned outside of his three wins.
They didnāt show Noren going up 18 at all until the birdie putt? Coverage is fucking woeful. My bet goosed now anyhow.
Hard luck, was a value shout.
Thatās a nerveless effort by Thompson, hope he closes it out now. Werenski with a very dodgy drop.
