The crowd were up for Bubba big time - hence the low key reaction for zee German.

The majority of fans that attend golf events in the US seem like tools of the highest order. They start yelping and shouting like eegits after somebody hits any long distance shot - the final destination of the ball has no relevance most of the time. Dustin Johnson’s shot from the so-called bunker is a classic example of this. John Daly talks alot about it in his book and how in Ireland and the UK people are much more clued into the game and will only applaud for a good shot.

Daly is a drunken degenerate bastard. If that’s the type of person you want to listen to go ahead.

Lets go Happy.

Bubba doesn’t play golf, he destroys it.

Those sort of ‘local’ rules need to be addressed big time. Majors should be played at courses that don’t allow the public to be standing and sitting inside a hazard that you may have to play out of at some stage. As he was hitting his shot there were still people standing in the ‘bunker’ beside him and sitting on the grass with their feet in the 'bunker.
The only good thing out of this is that finally that absolute rubbish course with 1000+ “bunkers” was shown up for the rubbish track that it was. The builders tried to use lake michigan at the side and a billion bunkers to deceive the public into thinking the course was any good. The fact that a potential winner was denied his chance becuase he was in a hazard as defined by the local rules, but the PGA allowed people to sit and stand in the ‘hazard’ is a shamples and the PGA should get it in the neck for that.

Natives of Dubai often refers to themselves as Dubs. The All-Arabian sandcastle building championship is the big sporting event over there and Dubai haven’t won it since 1995. But there is huge hype over there at the moment as the Dubs look like they could take back the Saddam Hussein Cup this year.

I have absolutely no issue with that; it’s the fact he plays golf that makes him an arsehole.

Hm. Not interested. Halol.

I will today be partaking in my first ever round of golf.
The slippery slope to middle age begins in two hours

Just digging out my chinos now

locke etc how much should i set aside for a decent second hand set of Ping raptures? hired them a few weeks ago and they were the job

Lee Westwood is golfs new world No.1. He ends Tiger Woods 5 year reign. Europe’s 1st No.1 since Faldo in 1994.

Around €300 I’d say.

Good day for Irish golf today, Graeme McDowell wins in Spain. He’s going well in the Race to Dubai.

Some joke that a lad like Lee Westwood who shits the course every time he comes within sight of a major finishing post could end up as world no1

Yea , this is another one of the reasons why golf is not and never will be a sport.

You won’t get jack shit for that price here.Paid about a 1000 A$ for driver, irons, putter, bag and shoes. Bought it on 3 balls.com. Good time for us to be buying American stuff. They are like new too but I need to get a 3 wood or something too. Shop down the road has a second hand rapture 4 wood for 200A$.Seems steep but the cunt in the shop won’t budge.

Gmac drained a birdie on 18 to go through to a playoff with Tiger Woods in the Chevron. Woods was within 4 feet, Gmac around 30 foot. Class act. Proud Irishman doing all of us Irishmen proud on the world stage.

 Gmac,

GMac has just gone and done it again, same place, same result. Tiger now to try and match him…taking his practice swing…strikes it…misses it. Irishman Graeme McDowell wins the tournament. Dolly Pepper now interviewing him. Dream stuff is what GMac’s reaction in, he’s extatic.
