The PGA Tour are not negotiating from a position of strength. To say the least. They don’t have jurisdiction over the majors and the majors are not going to ban players.
The Saudis have all the power here because they have the money.
Individual golfers who are prepared to take the blood money will win, because they’re exponentially increasing the amount of money they take in. They don’t care about anything else.
Golf as a whole will lose. The public aren’t going to be very interested in the Saudi events and the PGA Tour will decline too because it losing a lot of its best players. Thus the majors will decline and with it the sport as a whole.

It’ll be interesting as it progresses to see the lads who are in now and all for it getting dropped and how they react. Will this liv tour have a seniors version I wonder. I suppose the Saudis are all in so it’s basically a hostile takeover of the sport. Once again tradition goes out the window for a few dollars
