Played Doonbeg on Tuesday. 28 points off 12 which I was happy enough with considering I hadn’t played a full 18 since September.
I was playing of 14 last year with the same handicap index (13.7) so the recent changes to the course ratings have shaved a few shots off me.

Templemore; a bit of a kip but it’s handy. Plus they have an in with Doonbeg in that both the Hotel and Course Manager are from the town so we get a group trip down each year for a decent discount.
McIlroy and Lowry going alright in this pairs thing. McIlroy was on some healthy juice going up the fairway. Lowry probably gasping for a pint bottle.
