Mick Burke was a fella I dealt with in years past,
Decent skin,
Knocknaheeny-
He got done for it,
Big balls but mad as a hatter
Got 12-14 years for it,
Ended up officially as 32 county sovereignty organiser
( he got told to F off in Cork )
Now works or worked as a parachute :parachute: jump instructor somewhere in Offaly,
While inside a provo scumbag ( bud of his)
Ended up screwing and taking the wife away from him.
Such is war

His recent book on Raymond Lennox and his never ending travails to chase down paedos was a decent read. It would be good to see him start from scratch with some brand new content @glasagusban but hard to recreate that level of excellence

Didn’t know he had a sequel on old ray. What’s it called I’ll get that.

Standards man, standards.

I’ve started this. It’s good so far.

I’ve read the following Robert Harris books:

  • Conclave
  • Officer & A Spy
  • Archangel
  • the first 2 books of the Cicero Trilogy

Any of the others better than those ones?

Fatherland

I could do with changing it up but if it’s a strong recommendation I’d go for it.

I also found “A Second Sleep” on my kindle which I don’t even remember buying.

It is his first book.

SS-GB by Deighton is another decent ww2 counterfactual novel.

That wasn’t great.

Fatherland is a great read.

Act of Oblivion and Precipice other good Robert Harris ones you’ve not read

100 or so pages into Apple in China - fairly enjoyable read that is ticking along at a good pace. Sometimes these books struggle with pacing but it is a decent holiday read so far.

What’s not to love on the riveting topic that is contract manufacturing

Are the Ross O’Carroll Kelly books worth reading ?

John Connolly books are the best books.
