Well it’s a nice soft night, so I think I’ll go meet my friends, and talk a little treason.
Watched The Gentlemen tonight. Basically just a remake of Lock Stock, but really enjoyable.

The Way is on Prime. Starring Martin Sheen, directed by Emilio Estevez, it’s about a man travelling the Camino.
It’s excellent.

I watched Die Hard there with the 12 and 10 year old who had never seen it. They absolutely loved it. Seeing them enjoy it so much made me happy. I almost feel like I directed it…

A total let down.
Watched the first Bill and Ted movie with all the kids the other night, they really enjoyed it, the Socrates character is brilliant, they were in stitches at himself and Billy the Kid
Watched it yesterday - very good. McGowan still sharp as a tack but has his own unique view on history 
The scenes with Gerry Adams are great.
Little Women is a complete chick flick, but expertly made and very enjoyable from Gerwig. Saoirse Ronan is the truth.

Trying to picture Slippin Jimmy fighting in the American Civil War was interesting
Watched Mangrove earlier. As usual from Steve McQueen it was an absorbing visceral watch. Brilliantly made depiction of the Mangrove nine trial from the early 70s. The mangrove was a West Indian own restaurant in Notting Hill which was subjected police harassment and nine of the West Indian community were arrested and put on trial after they had a protest march against the harassment. Well worth a watch.
Shows up what a hackneyed effort Aaron Sorkin’s Trial of the Chicago seven was.
