Good Fillums

I watched The Deer Hunter their on the IPTV on Friday night. The last time I watched it was in 1982 when RTE showed it at about one o clock in the morning before the Larry Holmes v Gerry Cooney fight.

I was too young to appreciate it in 1982 and spent the whole film hoping Meryl Streep would get her tits out. It’s an unbelievable film that has aged better than me or Meryl.

Ah Virginie

Watched Nobody with Bob Odenkirk (get well soon Bob). A good auld ripper. Nice body count but a bit of humour too. The Mrs enjoyed it so it might be one to watch with life partners (if they like things like John Wick etc.)

Enjoyed it too. Was looking for a no brainer action flick to vege out on & Mr Saul Goodman delivered in spades. Didn’t think he’d have carried action hero role but he certainly did, hamming up his natural meekness.

Grand film on tg 4

This looks good

Doesn’t look long on special effects.

A friend saw it in IFI and has confirmed that it’s a brilliant film
