Natalie Merchant and Michael Stipe were best mates at one stage. Stipe sang vocals on ‘The Campfire Song’ from the Maniacs excellent ‘In My Tribe’ album.
I think they have fallen out since. I find it strange that anyone could fall out with Stipe - he is such a legend.
