He got unlucky with injuries tbf but itâs gotten away from him sadly
I always got the feeling that he was too good a player and his mindset didnât allow him to accept that others werenât as good/talented/ballsy/dedicated whatever, which led to an irritability which crossed onto the pitch on occasion.
He made a potentially great team very good.
A bit like Roy Keane?
Got the team to two all Ireland finals which they came close in?
Exactly mate. Best panel in 20 years and not one Sam.
That team I think weâre good enough to win one. They played really well. They were very very good, but I just got the feeling that they probably should have won it once. Maybe they will, but itâs more competitive now albeit without a great side around just at the minute.
Not as bad as that, but that sort of thing maybe, to a lesser degree.
If Shane Walsh was as good a player as he thinks he is then Padraig Joyce might have got this team over the line. Joyce mas a brilliant player and has done a very good job as manager
How many big championship games have Comer and Walsh started together, then you have the mayo lad in the corner usually disappearing when needed.Thats still an excellent Galway team tbf but PJ has gone as far as he can with them i think
Ah yeah maybe he has gone as far as he can with them, I just donât think he is the main cause of them not getting over the line. Players have needed to show more spine
Goal keeper and 3/6 are Gaways biggest problems as far as i can see.Fine from midfield up.They arent far away tbf,are there players from M/M not committing?
Unforgiveable that Joyce didnât walk after last yearâs final. Todayâs second match more of an indictment than the first. If he didnât win it last year he was never going to.
Donât you mean the walsh would have gotten them over the line? He gave a performance for the ages in the final against Kerry, he was better than Clifford, and still lost. So thatâs a fairly nonsense comment Iâd say.
He was unbelievable in that final tbf,the ref fucked Galway over in that final when they should have had a free in for Silke iirc but Kerry went down the field and got a point instead.Walsh is one of the most skillful players ive ever seen.
He was brilliant in that final yes, without doubt. I just donât get lads saying Joyce has held them back. Walsh is an excellemt footballer, I just think there are days where he is a little self indulgent. I think people need to look at why the players come up short in tight matches. I was much too harsh on Walsh in my earlier post, few sunday evening beers!
Miriam o Callaghan is going to have to chair a Prime Time Special on the sort of nepotism and conflicts of interests that is endemic in Irish Politics
Chilling etc etc.And they wonder why people dont trust the news anymore
If you can as a nation state actor, control and weaponise the mediaâŚitâs an asset.
Miriam is a heartbeat away from chairing a prime time special on Miriam oâcallaghan
