Yep, realised I bought the DVD years ago and forgot to watch it straight through. Went back last month and lashed into it. Then got stuck into season 8. Can’t wait for 9.

Probably my favourite TV show. Purefoy is pure class. Sadly everything else he’s in is pure shite.

I think they realised his potential after season one. Throughout the whole second season he had brilliant one liners.
Came in here to post a clip from The Wire too. Might have to rewatch soon. Second season’s a bit of a slog, but season 4 must be well up with the best ever.
The second season is a great watch for Frank Sobotka alone

3/4 are the peak though. 4 tugs at the heartstrings
The Wire was brilliant at character building. Better even than the Sopranos in that respect. They did more with minor characters than just about any show I can think of.
