Green Shoots - How Michael Noonan ended the recession

His timings’ never been the greatest, but when you’re a legend like TWCB, would you give a shit?

still here for now

Where?

There.

here

Just saw a shoebox of a 1 bed apartment in Longboat Quay available for rent for 1200 per month o_O

I just witnessed one of Galways biggest casualties of the bust withdraw 8000 euro in cash from his bank account.

He also mentioned to me in casual conversation as we queued that as soon as he shifted some of his prize assets he was back in business and building.

A lot of them are back at it, small crews and long hours finishing shells left from 07/08. Great to see.

@Tassotti Are you coming home soon pal?

He won’t be back til Fianna Fail are in power. So at some stage in the next 12 months I’d say

I tried to get dinner in Canal Bank Cafe on Monday night and I was told I’d have to wait 45 mins for a table. I went around the corner to The Farm, got a table there but it was still fairly packed.

The glory days are back guys. Now is the time to apply for membership in Residence. They’ll have a waiting list there again shortly I expect.

I suspect you are right. What is it like these days? Worth joining for a man about town?

I would not come home unless Fianna Fail are in power, even then I dunno, there is too much coin to be made here, way better than Ireland ever was in the boom

Ageing demographic in Dublin mate, people are going to restaurants instead of pubs.

At least 2 new property agents after opening up on Baggot Street in fairly prominent locations :clap:the boom is about to get boomier :pint:

I’m heading down to a ghost estate in Abbeylara at the weekend to check out some bargains-just under an hour and half spin to the Red Cow:pint:

We’re back, baby!

I have been reliably informed that you can live in Tullamore and be sitting in your office in Citywest in under 1 hour…

CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGGGGE

Absolutely. No better place for a meeting. Ideal for a late lunch with a client or potential client on a Thursday. Talk shop over some fine food, as it tips towards 4pm go a little heavier on the wine of your choice. As the merriment increases head for a few pints on Dawson Street in Sam’s Bar or 37 and join the rest of corporate Dublin in some celebratory drinks to mark the return of the boom.

:pint:

I don’t know why people who don’t buy into this remarkable recovery story don’t commit suicide.
