I heard a story before about a scheduled hurling match which one team wanted called off but their opponents
wouldânt agree, a bit like the St Pats Crecora situation. When they arrived for the match someone had cut the goalposts down.
Canât remember which teams were involved but i think Askeaton might have been one of them.
Thatâs was Ballysteen. They came up to Askeaton the night before and cut down the goals
Is Hammy alright lads or who is it?
This is the road. The walls are higher now and the first corner on the right has been cleaned up.
Wasnât himâŚThey named the lad on their Facebook page!
Sure they practically named him the article
âHe is one of the unsung heroes of the community. He is a young, married man who is very committed to his work as manager of the ladies football team.â
The man has chosen to remain anonymous while the garda investigation is ongoing.
"Wishing you well:
All at the club would like to wish Ray Hogan well and back on your feet following an frightful incident in Rhebogue last weekend. "
From the facebook page!
I enjoyed that. I was sitting only a few seats over from them at that very game and thankfully avoided the camera. So did one of my work colleagues who was three rows directly behind them.
JP was sitting just over the wall in the VIP area.
It was a circus that day in the stand. On the pitch was not so good.
