He was as good a president as we’ve had from an inward looking viewpoint. He was a good representative and we were lucky when compared to the alternative at the time.
We may not be so lucky going forward. You’ll miss him yet
Sean Gallagher had the gig wrapped up in 2011. Sinn fein through a spanner in the works even though hed done nothing wrong. He handled it badly and hasn’t been seen since. SF thought McGuinness was a shoe in after the debate but the electorate went for darby ogill

Yeah Martin McGuinness caught Sean and Miriam O’ Call unawares that night. A very open presidential race that year (2011). You had David Norris and Dana in the mix too. Although I don’t think either received many votes in the end.
That campaign had all kinds of everything, very entertaining times.
