Coach Klopp - dream maker

Yes.

They need intervention from the referee in their last two ties against Juve and Bayern as they were in bother.

Liverpool never put Madrid in bother tonight, they had a very easy path to the final this year and avoided all the big contenders. They actually needed a serious of controversial decisions themselves at key moments against City and Roma.

What, they needed the ref to blow his whistle when a Juventus player commited a foul?

Juventus were hammered 4-1 by Madrid in the final in Cardiff last year. They capitulated again the next time they met in Turin losing 0-3 at home. Madrid complacency after walloping Juventus 7-1 over two games set in when they met in Madrid. When Juventus went 0-3 up and had all the momentum against a Madrid side that couldn’t shake off their complacency, Juventus still proceeded to shit their togs again and give away a dumb penalty.

Juventus even with six Italy World Cup winners in their team shit the togs in the 1983 final against Hamburg, one of the biggest ever final upsets.

The “foul” was an invention from a crooked official who last week refused to review VAR in a cup final when he wrongly only issued Phil Jones with a yellow card and ignored a blatant handball from Ander Herrera.

But this is about Liverpool’s run to the final.

You would need to be a bit of a simpleton (which you unqestionably are) to suggest Porto are a more challenging opponent at this level currently than Juventus are. The bottom line is Real had much sterner questions in their previous rounds than tonights, Liverpool were blessed to have such a soft draw.

The foul was a foul. Juventus were in complete control until they went 3 up and then shat themselves

Liverpool had to get past Manchester City, the greatest domestic English club side ever assembled. Bayern Munich were the only decent side Madrid had to face in the knock out stages.

It was not a foul, it was a travesty, a corrupt decision from an amoral man. We saw last week how despicable and arrogant he was when he failed to review two shocking calls that went the wrong way against the same team.

A City side who have never appeared in a European Cup final.

And that’s still one more decent side than Liverpool had to face.

The fact is Real got tougher games from Bayern and Juve than they did from Real.

Is this you lauding mediocrity again?

We are talking about European pedigree here Jeff. Please outline man city football clubs European pedigree.

So now you’re turning your nose up at the pedigree of Man City for never appearing in a European Cup final. Five minutes ago you were turning your nose up at the pedigree of Porto who have a 100% winning record in European Cup finals and have won it the same number of times as Juventus.

You’re all over the place.

I’m being consistent. Man City and Porto have very little recent pedigree in the past 10 years at this level in the CL, neither do Roma.

Juve and Bayern have contested 5 of the last 9 finals.

It’s pretty clear.

Geoff you’ve backed the wrong horse here. Liverpool beat Porto, man city and Roma to get to a champions league final. About three league titles between them in 5 seasons. That’s it. Real knocked out juve, Bayern and psg. Three teams that have dominated their domestic leagues and Bayern/juve have regularly been in the semi finals/finals of this competition. It was a very tough path. Liverpool had an easy route.

I think you’re, as you would say yourself, projecting here. Geoffrey has consistently out-fought you in reasoned measure/debate over the past months.

Your stock as a debater, while you remain consistently stubborn, has begun to slide. This is reflected when you resort to using insults to propagate your opinion.

You’re delirious.

Another very successful year for Klopp;

  • Champions League Final
  • Champions league qualification for next year secured
  • Signing the footballer of the year and all time highest single season premier league goal scorer for a song
  • Rejuvenating the career of the OX and James Milner
  • Signing one of the leagues best left backs for a song
  • Addressing the problem position of CB
  • Converting Roberto Firmino into the most complete No. 9 in the league
  • All on a shoestring budget

Areas that require attention;

  • GK, should have been done before now as per tonight
  • CM, need more cover with Can going
  • AM, should be sorted now with Fekir

Liverpool’s squad was assembled for 35 million less than Real Madrid’s. Not a shoe string budget.

Failure = Success

The KOK equation.

Juventus haven’t won a European trophy since the last century. They’ve shit the togs and failed to win any of the five European Cup finals they’ve played in since 1996. Juventus are the ultimate European tog filling final specialists. You are normally scathing of anything less than winning a trophy for any club, yet you are bigging up Juventus for losing 4-1 in a final to Madrid. @Cicero_Dandi lauding Italian mediocrity

Porto have appeared in three European finals this century and have got the job done every time. European Cup winners 2004, UEFA Cup/Europa League winners 2003 & 2011.

European Trophy Haul in 21st century
Porto 3 Juventus 0
