Exactly.
Got his handicap down to 5 and then was able to turn ‘Pro’; do his apprenticeships etc.
In hindsight I don’t regret doing that when younger if I was more in the know. Get the handicap down the 6 which is highly achievable for young person who gives the sport some time.
The only pressure point is the mandatory two rounds where you have to shoot a certain score (although you get multiple attempts I think)
He’s landing it in the hole fairly regularly at least…
