That’s why you don’t dive in on Sakala.

Carter Vickers is a bull of a man.

Take that all day, 9 point advantage maintained.

Some strength from him

Legs like tree trunks.

I’d have probably taken a point at half time tbh.

CCV was good, Mooy did well when he came on. Interesting Ange said a bug had gone through the team, had to have an impact on selection.

I still cannot understand how that first hand ball wasn’t a penalty. When you look at a couple that have gone against Celtic, it seems an odd decision**

** Not odd

Poor game … Ange should have had Mooy on earlier … Rangers had a 10 minute spell after halftime and relied heavily on the Sakala c juranovic … bar that they were quite poor against Celtic team that never really got going … take that draw any day … I won’t say anything about Starfelt for fear of @Little_Lord_Fauntleroy

Canadian lad played well too. Abada and Jota and Giako changed the tide in that. For the first time we looked threatening.

That bug had to have an effect on the performance levels of some players too. Lads were very half paced today which is unlike that Celtic team anytime I have previously seen them.
Even when they were a goal down looking at the urgency of them you would think they were a goal up and looking to see it out.

That’s a fine result given that start to the second half.

Jesus Juranovic was miserable for that spell. He wasn’t playing well before it and didn’t exactly look composed afterwards but he was pure atrocious for the third quarter of the game.

And we didn’t play terribly well as a team but you felt it was the stupid errors that gave them goals and the Hart mistake that nearly gifted them one in the first half.

In fairness to the team selection, neither Abada nor Jota looked quite up to it when they came on. Ange mentioned a bug in the camp had influenced selection and not sure either of them were at 100%. Jota did very well twice for the equaliser though.

Delighted for Kyogo to get that equaliser. A fine player. And fair play to Giakoumakis for keeping it alive in the box too after Jota had helped it back inside.

Was the goldson handball not a clear VAR peno ? I didn’t see replay but he appeared to block it with his hands … commentators seem
To focus on ref waiting for VAR and never really addressed the fcukin handball :man_shrugging:

Got out of jail there. Poor standard, which you don’t expect in the jocko league.

Most, if not all, of the goals were down to defensive mistakes. Kent’s finish was excellent and Maeda took his well. But it was terrible defending from Juranovic and Starfelt, in particular, after half time that handed them the lead. It also followed on from a collective sloppiness in possession. The misplaced passes were regular and hard to fathom at times.

A raft of below par individual displays by Celtic players too. I was disappointed by our lack of composure and we seemed a bit rattled by the occasion/atmosphere.

We didn’t create a lot after we went 2-1 down and we may have scored the two goals from our only two shots on target. We were probing without looking all that threatening so it was a fortunate point in the end, even though we caused our own issues to begin with.

Ange will need to learn lessons there. For example, I don’t think Forrest will start another derby and Mooy must nearly have jumped to being our first choice midfielder. I also thought Starfelt had eliminated those rash moments from his game but we might need to have a look at the new Japanese centre half to ultimately partner CCV.
