He actually has a point . Danilo would have made hay with the space in between the new Celtic partnership in first half . Beale is a proper spoofer . He seems to have contacts in England and further afield to identify once young talent that’s lost their way but he doesn’t seem to be able to coach them into better players so it’s a weird strategy .his tactics are in contra to the amount of possession his team will have in Scotland week in week out
I also think that game and the clean sheet will bring Scales and largerbilk on no end . Confidence is a massive thing in football and scales had zero before today. I thought he was very calm on ball after a few early mistakes . Laegerbilk defo has something , is gutsy and tenacious , he’s young enough to learn and develop with a more experienced centre half beside him but like I said very hard to expect two young lads to hit the ground running in an old form in their second match as a centre half pairing
I thought Scales was the better of the two by a nice bit &, while Lagerbielke didn’t really have any standout mistakes in the second half in his nuts & bolts defending, he was a bag of nerves on the ball & coughed it up constantly in our own half at the merest hint of a press. He tried one dinked pass that ended up with Dessers having a scuffed shot wide - I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. In reality, they’re both going to be behind CCV & Naiwrocki & maybe even this big lad from Liverpool. I wouldn’t be distraught if Al Ittihad bid €60mn for Scales ahead of the Saudi league window closing in a couple of weeks.
Awful pity the international break is here , Beale is on the ropes and the Rangers animals are demanding his head on a plate
I’d disagree slightly. Celtic need players back from injury so the 10 days or so off should see some of them back as well as get the new guys up to speed.
Think the SPL plan the fixture date like that on purpose…the heat goes out of any contentious decisions by the time league action resumes. Agree totally with you about Beale’s coaching. He doesn’t seem to be able to coach/implement any kind of constructive, probing, possession based game. A bit wanky to type but his football philosophy (or as Brendan would call it…his footballing idea) is very outdated. It’s just get it up, get it wide & get it in the box. It was only 1-0 & these games can turn on small margins, a decision or bounce of a ball but, like the narrow wins on paper against them last season, Celtic’s football is much more slicker & advanced. Well it was light years ahead of them in the first half anyway. Again Beale got his set up all wrong imnvho. His 4-3-3 was kinda flat & neither the main striker, either of the wide attackers or any of the midfield three was close to McGregor. Celtic have struggled badly this season when teams have occupied him but he ran the game.
They’d be better off with Ian Beale.
Always go for the low hanging fruit.
Ian Beale ran the caff , his dad Pete sold the fruit .
Rangers would have loved to mark the first anniversary of Her Majesty’s passing with a Queen Victory but their own passing was non-existent and the three points went to Glasgow’s EastEnders.
Would you not think that as things stand it’s better he stays?
There’s more than a touch of David Brent about Beale.
Reasonable article here
Rodgers the second coming is underway.
No more understated, sheepish Brendan. Cutting around like this after the match today.
The huns ran wee GVB out of the place, who was a far better manager than Beale will ever be
Black Range rover CVR. No major surprise there.
What’s the dude in the blue Rangers jersey at here?
It’s like he wants to flip the bird but can’t remember how to do it with either hand
Update: Rangers have written to the SFA to lodge their complaints about the goal being chalked off on Sunday & to ask for clarity as to how the officiating team came to that conclusion. Hint: it was a foul.
Bobby Madden, yes that Bobby Madden, had an Instagram post with screenshots explaining why it was disallowed under the laws of the game.
But Dermot Gallagher, ex EPL ref, on a SSN ref watch feature thought the goal should have stood. His stance was based more on feelings & not liking the laws, like Boyd, McCann, Kenny Miller etc.
These things provide a distraction & solace to the huns. They usually go apoplectic when they lose but come around to thinking they deserved to win.
@anon98850436 have you apologised to Brendan & @Rocko ?
I’m still waiting for Brendan to apologise to me after the incident in Tallaght.
@Rocko will get one if we reach the knock out stage of the CL and not before it.
I knew those that won’t forgive Brendan would hunker down & hope for a few Champions League beatings.
