Ah awful decision to let a bluffer like that into their set up
The guitar will be fine, KK with the killer instinct just like the semi last year
They are never beaten. Some competitors.
Hupyaboya
Did Shefflin get the coat in TK Maxx XXXL?
That was a very enjoyable contest, the best of the season so far.
Even though they went a long period without a score, Kilkenny were much better in the second half. Richie obviously made a huge impact, freed up space for TJ. And Richie really really should have scored another too.
Good subs by Cody too; Fennelly was at nothing inside there, neither was Wally; and Hogan, Brassil & Blanchfield all made an impact on the day.
Galway looked good for large periods but Kilkenny just about got on top in the full-back line at the end. Things just went slightly off for Whelan even though he worked very hard. Canning was excellent, I thought. They’ll still have a big say in this year’s Championship.
They have a winning mentality the rest can only dream of
The bob o Keefe cup isn’t a patch on the bob Radcliffe cup
Some performance, they fight like fuck and all look to get on the ball and play their part don’t wait for someone else to do it. Another famous Galway collapse though.
KK were just about ready to be beaten there until the 2 goals. Really gave them new life.
Hogan made a huge difference. Seemed to float into space unmarked.
Galway hit the post with 2 frees and Joe going for goal from a free instead of a handy point. Mattered in the end.
Flynn missed a great goal chance. Only got a point for the Burke pull back that likely would have been a goal. Small margins.
Henry with the nail on the head - the collective is greater than the sum of the parts
Ah Richie though time may take the legs but the class remains
They fell for it hook line and sinker
That was a great 2nd half. Kilkenny backs turned the screw in the last 10 mins or so. Before that Flynn should have goaled when he was through.
Galway scored their last point after 64mins. 10 minutes at the end they scored nothing.
Kilkenny didnt even play great and thats not a vintage side.
Cody is simply the greatest there has ever been
He’s like sir Alex Ferguson.
That last quarter not pretty from a Galway perspective
Has to be one of Cody’s greatest wins…they were fired around the place first half…Galway have really good forwards yet go so many games without scoring a goal or just the one …
Galway have struggled for years now to get goals. If Galway had got the first goal, when they were a few points ahead, it would most likely have killed it off. That was presumably the thinking of Canning going for goal on that close in free. If you don’t concede a goal and you’re hanging in there, there’s always the chance of that smash and grab type raid.
Hit the post twice, three or four wides I’d say.
