They might well be, but they can coast into an All-Ireland quarter-final by beating Offaly and Dublin, which they fairly obviously will do.

Hard to judge anything from watching on TV in a deferred game with brutal camera work and gaelic language commentary. Rory OâConnor seemed to have a powerful final quarter when he was moved to midfield. Centre forward or midfield seems to be the place for him rather than the confined spaces inside. Heâs a great ability to snap a ball up at full pelt and take a score on the run. Kevin Foley picked off another 3 points and Conor Firman appeared to have another solid outing. A few lads who hurled well last season are off that level and a couple of the fringe players didnât really take their chance.
Why would gaelic language commentary impede your judgement while watching a hurling match? Do you rely on Duignan et al. to tell you whatâs happening?

Itâs a distraction having two lads making phlegmy, throat clearing noises under the guise of match commentary. I want to hear the exchanges on the pitch and the sound from the sideline and stand, but not the gaelic interventions. As ever, the option of sound without commentary would be ideal. Michael Duignan isnât part of TG4âs team.
Isnât that exactly what the Tipp footballers did last year or the year before when they beat Armagh with a last minute goal to secure promotion?
Not that I saw any of the players today losing the heads at full time, more like a sense of quiet satisfaction of a job well done. Firm handshakes & slap on the backs to drive on for the summer hopefully.
