Wexford to prevail on Sunday. Galway will do what Wexford couldnât do on Vinegar Hill and keep their powder dry until it counts.
Galway will want to win
Too early to be peaking Joe.
Huh?
You can see the edit no doubt, but it was since proven to be erroneous information and I wouldnât have liked to mislead the forum.
No, canât see edit. But I got an @ notification and the post was amended before I saw what the @ was about. Hence my interest was piqued.
An orange sliotar will be required for a snowy Wexford Park on Sunday.
Lovely. It will go down well for my eyes on Sunday!
It looks like Clare have their Championship side lining out for this game.
They have put out relatively strong sides in all games. Good few in the county would rather have seen more experimentation throughout the league but there seems to be a couple of reasons for the somewhat conservative team selections.
They want to build continuity and feel that the best way for the team to improve is to hurl together.
Secondly a number of lads like Flanagan, Rory Hayes, Oisin Oâ Brien, Shanahan, Golden, Cathal Mc, Tots and Bobby Duggan have all been injured and Cian Dillon is travelling and only rejoining the panel this week, all of these would be in the mix for championship 26 and management probably feel that the lads on the periphery after probably arenât at the level needed yet. Deasy, Corry, Ryan Taylor and Mike Oâ Malley have got opportunities and OâMalley the only one who really furthered his cause. With everyone fit and well we have depth but you would wonder how many of the lads who were unavailable for the league will be right for championship in 8 weeks.
This is the managements second year and said over the winter that if they they donât make progress they wonât be seeking another term. They havenât really targeted the league per se despite the strong team selections. Everything is being geared for championship and management know that is what they will be judged on.
Given that ye showed up in Pearse Stadium last year wearing nearly the same colours as the home team ye will hardly let the colour of the sliotar bother ye! We will be sporting our innovative new camouflage jersey on Sunday. I have visions of it being a bit like the Predator movie, Wexford lads getting hit, hooked and blocked all over the place, not knowing what the fuck hit them.
Weâll wear whatever the fuck we like. Weâll play with whatever fucking colour sliothar we like. Weâll send you fucking bog warriors back to your hovels with your tae in your mug and hopefully plenty of bruises and stitches.
Would fancy Wexico to beat Galway by 4-5 points. Think weâll do a number on Clare also. I canât believe the Roasters are still persisting with Browne and POC in the full back line.
The other two games are foregone conclusions.
Bog WarriorsâŚWeâll be like fucking Snow Leopards on Sunday. Weâll are ye alive and weâll wreck that shithole The Stores before we go home with the boot full with spuds and strawberries.
To the english planters we must be a frightening race of uncouth savages

Lee Chin on the bench and Aidan Nolan not in the squad. Otherwise itâs along expected lines with players rested last week drafted back in. Simon Donohoeâs also listed to start after missing a few games with a broken hand. Conor Firman did very well in his absence so a bit tough on him.
Itâs not immediately obvious to me whoâll partner Kevin Foley in midfield in Nolanâs absence if Shaun Murphy plays as the spare defender. I donât think heâll play a âtraditional formationâ or move, say, Jack OâConnor from his ball winning half forward role to midfield or wing back (and release OâKeeffe to midfield).
It could be that Rory OâConnor plays midfield or there may be a change to the line up as it would be unusual for Morris, Dunne and Dunbar to all start. We seem to have selected one more inside forward and one less player who operates out around midfield/half forward than normal.
Isnât it absolutely intriguing though? cc @Joe_Player.
