Hurling League 2018

He mightn’t be on the field too much longer either way. Got one nice score but getting well beat apart from that

Limerick backs doing well

The economy of the tipp forwards in comparison would make you weep.

For all Limericks work ethic in the forwards there are too many manufactured forwards up there. The difference in efficiency with the ball is glaringly worrying

You bate me to it

Willie has calmed down a bit lately. The owl temper was his Achilles heel for a long time.

Byrnes🤦‍♂️ Winning great ball but should be told do not shoot don’t know how many balls he has wasted. Overall we are going well but the game overall is lacking a bit of bite. Tipp unbelievably efficient only 1 side to our 7 I make it. We are playing good ball in the main into the inside line but need to be taking our chances. This is becoming a recurring pattern.

Tipperary 0-12 Limerick 0-10. HT.

Tipp were extremely efficient and economical, as has been said. It appeared like they had much less possession and they’ve been bullied a bit physically, but they’ve managed to snipe in with a little run of scores on occasion.

Limerick are probably horrible to play against. They’re very committed and they tackle ferociously from the front. Not many teams will be able to get a platform from half back against them with the way Hayes, Hegarty and Morrissey work. They’re not that easy on the eye though and it’s more perspiration than inspiration. That said, the likes of Peter Casey would add more of the latter.

How many wides for Limerick?

Paudie Maher should be back on the wing with Ronan in the centre. Paudie is too easy to crowd out in the middle

They’ve an awful habit of winning hard ball, often against the last defender, and then turning away from goal to look for support. Take on the man and go for broke more often should be the call.

Murphy, Hegarty, Flanagan and Gillane (twice) have all been guilty of this in the first half.

Richie English going well. Hayes starting to get into it and I expect Cian to have a bigger influence as the game develops.

Savage intinsity from the forwards.
Enjoyable spectacle.
Tipp will win this with Bubbles coming on and putting over a few beauties.

7 I think

12006 the attendance

I actually think Kyle has to be moved out of centre forward. Gillane is obviously hindered and still has the beating of his man. Flanagan has been hot and cold. Barry Murphy just isnt going for him and could be hooked. The problem is on the side line bar Mulcachy and Nash there arent too many other natural forwards. We need to run at these Tipp bastards cause I think they are there to be taken

Graeme Mul will keep turning away from goal same as the rest. Pat Simon might take them on alright.
