Yeah. Good one pal.
Kerry at home in the league last season and your two young children frozen with the cold. You truly pick the big games.
Seriously? Surely there is something to salvage thereā¦
Wexford are like Galway big strong
Didnāt play great today. Some people think the system takes away from his game. Maybe when heās part of an outnumbered two inside but he was centre forward for most of the first half today. Got his sole point during a brief switch into the inside line but didnāt really make the ball stick in the second half either from the half forward or full forward line. I guess teams are well used to his style now too - the diagonal high ball worked a lot early in his career given he holds the hurl with his left and catches with his right. He was holding lads off inside him and catching it outside of them if you know what I mean. Players know how to spoil him/it now so needs to keep working and adding variation to his game.
Lot of mileage up between club and county and playing two codes. Has played when injured too often as well, and thatās as much down to himself as any management I would suspect.
Has lost a half yard of pace, is consistently getting blown out of it in the physical exchanges since he came back from his cruciate injury. Looks fairly one dimensional on the ball too, turns into his left, dummies and then onto his right. Just far to predictable now.
David Reidy on the other hand is really developing into an excellent hurler. Serious engine, technique and composure. Making it almost impossible to be dropped now.
Great player to watch, despite his small stature he is phenomenal at breaking tackles.
Replying to yourself on the internet isnt something id associate with a clare hurlers forum moderator.
In fairness to Brian Crowther, the Kerry hurlers showed more perspective and dignity after their win over Cork than the Biffos did last week.
Fucko says
good post the most infamous
id like to see bandage, raylan & big mick mccarthy post up their own hurling credentials that gives weight to their opinions above
never held a hurl in their lives after u14 between the three of them id wager
Itās sad, but he was poor last year and hasnāt been anywhere near the same player since 2014 tbh.
He used to be able to pick up a huge amount of dirty ball, and had the ability to change direction quickly made him almost impossible to stop.
Podge still has a part to play
Which begs the questionā¦
What age is Podge?
Minor in 2010 so around 26
Are Antrim decent this year?
17th of February will tell a lot. Galway rusty, and Dublin very questionable after that result in Offaly today.
Eddie Brennan says Wexford are a formidable outfit.
Iām half an hour behind on League Sunday, guys.
Heās not wrong. They are as good a winter hurling team as there is at the moment.
