Hurling League Predictions Thread

Watched most of 2nd half.
Joke of a game. Good win for Cork though and good to see Cork get some confidence into Rob O Shea and Luke O Farrell. Full back not solved by new man.

I always liked O’Farrell. Came across him a lot at underage and 3rd level and was usually impressed. He was also going very well in early season challenges this year.

How is it that he hasn’t quite pushed on at senior level. Is it attitude, fitness or confidence? He never seemed to lack in the latter two departments.

I’m talking about the replacement.

You finally admit ye have a problem at full back then?

Happy now

Typical Cork, he’s got an edge. Not your normal “good Cork boy”

I never said SON was the ideal full back. I just felt he was judged on one game where others (cork playErs and a lack of a centre back) exposed him and SOD got lucky as well.
And he was as good as most others around when it was put up to scrutiny.

SON was not a full back long before SOD cleaned him.

He jumped. He landed. Cruciate gone. Big loss at fullback.

I don’t expect everyone to understand this, but ACL’s don’t just go cos if a landing. That’s the straws that breaks the back. It’s always, always without fail according to medical sports doctors, because of wear and poor and/or over training.
Without proper strength training doing high intensity speed endurance and middle distance pace running, major injury is a real possibility.
People will brush it under the carpet as bad luck, because they either don’t want to know the truth or it’s too complicated for them.

Stop Digging FFS

I should say, certain people, with genetically gifted athletic ability and running technique or those who attended a decent athletics club, can get away without do strength&mobility training for high intensity running. Think Tom Kenny. However these athletes are rare, especially in GAA.

If you look at my earlier posts I didn’t even watch the first half. I honestly thought McDonnell had started in a late change.

The manager of Dublin is who should be in the manager, or at worst the manager in Waiting in Cork. Cunningham is already showing that the ideas and outlook on modern hurling he had suppressed in Cork are close at worst to on the ball.[/QUOTE]
Hate bringing this back to UCC again but Cunningham’s (while an excellent coach) man management was less than inspiring if reports are true.

Even his decision making on match days was baffling. Dublin are going nowhere long term with him in charge.

Ya, my point is he wasn’t allowed coach.

Out of all teams I rank them 3

even from a sports psychological point of view cork were always going to put in a huge performance today after what happened last time they visited Croker…

Who?
