Hurling Power Rankings

Rule of thumb is that you should be able to beat all the teams below you and on any given day be able to beat the teams 5 places above you.

In that case the list should be:

  • Limerick

And yet Kilkenny lost to Wexford.

KK two places above Wx, on any given day rule kicks in.

Very clear and easy to understand

You do realise you have two teams placed ahead of Wexford that failed to defeat them ‘on any given day’.

The Westmeath rule kicks in

If you can’t manage to beat Westmeath “on any given day” then you should shut the fuck up?

@locke has given this precisely the amount of time it deserves.

If I was at good at Fantasy League as I am at Power ratings I’d be dangerous

Prospective chances in upcoming games should come into rankings as well. Given our potential quarter-final opponent would be Clare then it’s unlikely we’ll go too much further. Clare a solid No.2 on current form. Basically what everyone thought Waterford were going to be when they were chalked down to meet Limerick 3 times this summer.

Those at the top of the list will move with results and good performances from Antrim and Kerry might see them leap frog the likes of Tipp if they do well against Cork and Wexford respectively. Waterford dropped due to Cahill staying on and Dublin having the strong prospect of Davy Fitz taking over.

So Kilkenny can bounce back from defeat against Wexford by beating Galway but Wexford can’t bounce back from defeat against Westmeath by beating Kilkenny

Ye finished third in Leinster. Fuckin Leinster.
I dont think ye can have any complaints about yer current rankings. Sixth is right. Kilkenny and Gallway might complain about being ranked behind Cork but ye have fuck all to compkain about.

Stop it @Locke
