These 2 year cycles of rapid decline are the norm now. It’ll be nice to be hopefully back competitive in 2022 when crowds are allowed back into the games.
In saying that who knows how all the retirements are going to hit the panel? Who knows if the young lads are going to be able to make the step up so soon?
I’m just glad that I was able to cheer AI wins throughout my teens, 20’s & 30’s… I was care free and could enjoy them so to speak.
I’m at the stage now where you just take pleasure in the hurling side of it. I suppose I’ll get an extra kick again once the young fella is of the age ( & hopefully interest ) to be bringing him along and feed off his satisfaction in the wins & deflation in losses.
