Sydney/Spurs ko in 15 minutes. Hard to gauge the capacity in the 80k stadium. Reporter just asked Poch if playing in front of these huge crowds would benefit the team. They’re expecting 70k apparently.
Spurs with kane, eriksen, lamela, vertonghen all starting. I’ll go with a 4-2 spurs win.
I’d say the capacity is 80k in an 80k stadium mate. The attendance might be less though.
Kane puts Spurs 1 nil up. Fair play to the lad. A heavy season with spurs and the Euro U-21s to come. It’s testament to the A-League and Sydney FC that a player of his quality demanded to be included on this tour.
@fitzy, do the dutiful there please. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on what should be an exhilarating season for your beloved Mariners. Will Victory pick up where they left off? Can Sydney recover from an incredible loss of talent? Is this Aaron Mooy’s year? Are the Roar fucked?
I was in the members stand on the western side of the stadium Loko, so well shaded from the scorching sun we are so used to on the Costa Del Gosford (the “gin and tonic stand” as the plbs on the eastern side refer to it). Cracking game it was, the only low point being the failure of the cannon to go off for our first two goals (oh, and Eddy fucking Bosnar getting a run). I’ll formulate the relevant thread soon.
