I remember seeing an old sliotar on eBay USA years ago signed PS O’Brein 1959. I was going to buy it but couldn’t find any relationship between it and Waterford. So I declined. Perhaps @Fagan_ODowd might enlighten me. Long shot I know. Sliotar well gone now I’d say.

The only O’Brien on the panel was Freddie or the Tailor as he was known. They did go on a tour of the US after the final. My aunt had a lovely photo of her with the panel outside Tobin and Powers in Clonmel where they stopped off on the way to Shannon Airport.
