I won't be able to drink to spread covid

I just had the two of them with the lunch. Too early in the day to do the dog on it.

Palace Bar.

Half hour to kill before heading to Belfast.

I was in a bar in a hotel in London during the week. I had a pint and when I went to order a second one I was told they were no longer serving pints and would I have a half pint or a bottle instead. I asked why I could have a pint and was told they were too busy to serve pints so it was only half ones or bottles. I looked over to the bar and saw a few people behind it leaning around and chatting, :joy:

I said you are alright, I’ll head away.

Pint of Belfast Black, upstairs in The Crown. Palatable.

The Crown is a smashing pub.

Never a truer word… Great spot.

Mobbed downstairs, as usual. Had a table booked for ‘food’, which suited us grand.

I was never upstairs there @Malarkey.

Must have been downstairs half a dozen times.

Upstairs is ordinary enough – but good atmosphere. But wanted to make sure myself and a friend got a seat. Saturday in The Crown…

I’d 18 pints in there on my stag. Unfortunately that did happen

Cleary’s, Amiens Street.

The crowd here delighted, putting it mildly, to see England’s penalty missed.

Up for sale i believe.

Cleary’s?

Have really liked the place since the late 1980s. Was also handy for pre SFX pints.

At that moment in time, you could not purchase Green Spot and Redbreast in Cleary’s, as is now possible.
