I sometimes wish this lad wasn’t in Fine Gael. I was reminded of his outburst this evening.

‘Anyone selling a house there has no option but to sell to the Travelling community,’ insisted Paddy Kavanagh who described this as a form of ethnic cleansing of the settled community.

Interesting the social democrats vote. There is obviously a demand for them. However they’ll be seriously lacking in candidates around the place and seem to be just parachuting anyone they can in.

Ah in fairness everyone benefited, people forget that, the scroungers more than most.
The bailout fucked us alright, but it was actually the overly generous welfare & public sector pay that was the crippling blow.

We’ll get a lot of the bailout money back eventually, all the AIB, BOI & Permo money, plus a bit of profit from Nama. We’ll have to eat the Anglo & Irish Nationwide losses sadly but that’s life. It’ll be about €35billion in total which is a cunt. But our GDP is about €190billion so it’s hardly the bailout alone that has us @ 120% debt to GDP.

It was like having the best house party in the world but getting caught by the landlord the following morning. You regret nothing. I’d rather have 5 years of boom and 10 years of recession than just plodding along all the time. Anyway a good recession in Ireland is very nesscary.

It did get rid of a lot of layabouts to Australia so there is that. However, by your reckoning it is a good thing that it fucked a lot of people out of their homes, and caused widespread depression across the country which can be linked the largescale rise in teenage male suicide. I would vote Independent if I was still registered in Wexford (Mick Wallace) but I’ll probably vote for whoever the Sinn Féin/IRA candidate is in my constituency in Dublin. I’d vote Independent (Diarmuid O’Flynn) if I was registered in North Cork.
