Vintage Rafa!
Rafa breaks to love, serves for the match.
The King stay The King.
Nadal crusies through against Dimitrov - 6-2, 6-2.
He seems to be getting his act together at the right time.

You bring a whole new meaning to the old adage ‘you only sing when you’re winning’. No sign of you on this thread these last few months since the meltdown and histrionics in Melbourne. Not a peep as Nadal was crushed by Djokovic in Miami, beaten by Ferrer in Monte Carlo, Almagro in Barcelona or the hollow win in Madrid when Nishikori did his back. If Novak prevails tomorrow no doubt you’ll be go awol again.

Getting close to the big one, want to get your excuses in early this time? You excerable swine of man.
You’re getting ahead of yourself with excitement about the big one. Still a bit to go. Doesn’t start until 23 June.
Roland Garros is the big one. The bog tennis at SW19 does nothing for me.
For someone that didn’t know who Jimmy Connors was and who’s lack of insight and knowledge on the game has constantly been shown up here, its not that much of a surprise to hear that the premier competition in tennis, the Championship does nothing for you.
Incorrect and you seem worried as Nadal closes in on Federer’s record.
If you’re telling me Nadal is going to win five and possibly six more Championship’s to match and overtake Federer and Sampras haul of seven you’re even more of a clown than has been apparent up until now. Sampras of course is not a great of the game in your eyes.
Tennis is all about what you do in the Championship that first Sunday in July, just like the measure of a hurler or footballer is what they do on a September Sunday or a golfer the third Sunday in July at the Open Championship.
Ah jaysus look who has come out of hiding.

Did I not school you about Sampras and the rest of the bludgeoners you eulogise before? Clay is surface for the complete tennis player, the one with the great tactical mind, variety, resilience and innovation. The grass and hard courts (to a lesser degree) are for the servers and the bludgeoners.
You’re the one getting the tennis lesson around here.
Here’s a few of the gaps that have been filled in for you in your tennis education in the last year.
-
You found out who Jimmy Connors was
-
You found out Jimmy Connors is the most successful player in the history of men’s tennis in terms of titles won
-
You found out that Jimmy Connors didn’t play at Roland Garros throughout his prime years
-
You found out the US Open has been played on clay
-
You found out that modern day French Open finalists Mariona Puerta, Petr Korda and Guillermo Coria are all convicted drug cheats, this despite your truly bizarre assertion that the French Open doesn’t throw the type of ‘uncouth’ finalist the Championship allegedly throws up.
All of this pre-dates 2005, so its before you developed your creepy man crush on Nadal and discovered tennis, so clearly facts you wouldn’t have the first clue about.

Incorrect.
The fact that you are using three guys who never won at Roland Garros - one who actually won a hard court grand slam as examples just shows how clueless and bitter you really are. As I said before, you enjoy freakshows like Phillipousis gracing the field tennis and I will enjoy the real tennis in Paris. I will also enjoy watching Rafa make bits of Federer’s record. Your bitterness is transferring into an unhealthy obsession as your primitive appreciation of the game and its facets become more and more outdated.

Eh, hang on there. If you check the record on the Australian Open thread, you were the one that started crowing about how virtuous French Open finalists were compared to Championship finalists.

There’s what you said - The French Open will never have a tennis player as uncouth as Mark Philippoussis contesting a final, thankfully.
You’re getting absolutely whipped here again, its embarrassing. I merely pointed out an inconvenient truth which is 100% corroborated by hard facts which demolishes your nonsensical argument and your only response is to call me clueless and bitter. Get a mirror and look in it you excerable swine of man.
Are you telling me now what you should have said is French Open champion and not runner up? If that is the case, why are you dragging Phillipousis into it as a comparative? He never won the Championship. His only final appearance was in 2003 and he lost.

Virtuous? I think you have comprehension problems.
Rafa is the greatest of all time, he has consistently destroyed Fed who some tout as the best. Sampras only really did well on grass which cant really be considered proper tennis
Sampras won 5 US Opens and 2 Australian Opens. Just in case you’re not aware, both tournaments are played on hardcourts.
