Just looking out for you mate. The last thing this country needs is to have our top business people functioning at less than 100%.
@Juhniallio is spot on here. You should never have surgery on a Friday. You wonāt see a nurse from one end of the weekend til the other. I got my knee done on a Tuesday and got the fuck out of there on the Friday. You wonāt even get a blanket bath to ease your troubles if you are there at the weekend.
If you are not wealthy enough to go to a private hospital you deserve such treatment. Bandage will be well looked after in santry.
My operation was in Santry.
Youāre badly misled here. Youād be way better off in a public hospital. Private hospitals only want profits. Theyāll have even fewer staff than public ones. Advantage of private is speed, not better service.
I have to report at 9am on the Friday. Not sure exactly when the operation will take place during the day but Iām told Iāll be discharged* at around 11am on Saturday. I reacted badly to a general anaesthetic before and had a nasty bout of vomiting after having one. Iām a little bit scared, guys.
*from hospital, not the IRA.

Be brave my little soldierā¦ Will your new squeeze by around to nurse you over the weekend?

Nothing to fear, mate - people go in for surgery at all different times of the week, and indeed year. I had one relation that went in for a routine gall bladder operation on December 27th one year, and while the operation did involve a general anaesthetic, he was released just a couple of hours later.
*Onto a mortuary slab after theyād made a complete mess of the operation.
@mickee321 - Your allignment is off/out- You can be sure the hips are not the problem but more than likely itās your lower back/glutes.
Here is some very basic glute exercises/stretches-

Here are some good hip stretches-
This one gives me the most relief

thanks CM for this , im doing those glute things now after training a lot
also @fenwaypark i followed your advice and foam rolled the IT band last night after 7k on the threadmill, the pain on both sides about 2 inches above the knee is pretty bad, should i just continue and foam roll the fuck out of it as @Kinvaraās Passion would say?
im meeting our physio now here as well tomorrow to take a look at it but i am wary of them as @caoimhaoin called them all out to be spoofers

Pain on outside of knee can be linked to IT Band. Pain on the inside can be associated with tight glutes. Foam roll both and you should see improvement in a few days (hopefully).
How did the operation go @Bartosz Bereszynskiego
my back is in bits, stupidly tweaked it overreaching for a boxā¦ have iced it and taken anti inflammsā¦ any ideas until how long it will take for me to be back to my effervescent self
I got a pain in my groin to the right of the ball bag, ferocious, there was an auld bit of a lump on the muscle, the pain extended into the right testicle, slept on it. it was grand the next morning, this was last week after joining in a training session on the astro turf. Not a breeze as to what it was
a man in your position should position her in more attainable positions.
Youāre donkey punching wrong if you are hitting your own ballbag.
Itās not right unless it hurts.
cheers FP
its on the outside of both legs, ill FR for a few days anyway and we will see how it goes
the ould flexability ( hammers especially) really begins to go past early 30āsā¦
Thanks for your enquiry/inquiry, Fagan. Waiting to hear more from the surgeon tomorrow as I was very groggy when he spoke to me in the recovery room earlier. Think he said it was worse than he anticipated when he got into the hip after making the keyhole incisions but he was quite happy with what he was able to do.
I was in the recovery room for 90 minutes rather than the usual 15 as my heart rate was all over the shop. I reacted badly to the general anaesthetic, which happened me before, and had a nasty bout of vomiting a couple of hours after the op also so only fully coming around now. Iām not in too much physical pain though as Iām on morphine and what not.
All in all, Iāll know more in the morning after hopefully getting a good snooze tonight. Whatās absolute certain for now is that 1) Iām a very, very brave boy and 2) Iām currently wearing a disposable nappy. Iāll leave you with that lovely image.

That sounds like a rather unenjoyable experience. Hang in there pal.
