Best time to set a lawn is March. The grass seeds will germinate and grow at a faster rate than the weeds. Plenty of moisture in the soil. Giving you a healthy lawn.
A lawn set in June will need to be watered constantly, perhaps twice a day depending on the weather. Otherwise it will fail.
You can also set a lawn in September as itās still warm enough and moisture is returning to the soil. They also say some weeds donāt germinate in late autumn but grass will.
So youāve missed the boat.
