Is a pile of money not spent on Disaster Recovery and risk assessments to ensure such a debacle could never happen?

Back up system probably in the same room as the main one.

It surely is.

The back up procedure should be tested regularly though and in this case it sounds like it wasn’t done for ‘whileen’.

given the goings on in the Halappanavar case, a functioning IT system is up there with self actualisation on the UCH heirarchy of needs

Local media reporting that, at last week’s Wexford County Council meeting, Fianna Fáil Councillor Malcolm Byrne (Gorey) accused his party colleague Michael Sheehan (New Ross) of stealing a Frank Underwood House of Cards speech on jobs and using it in the meeting. :smiley:
