IT System failure at UCH Galway today. No access to patient records in the majority of departments. The majority of admin phones down also.
Main system failed yesterday and back up system failed today allegedly.
Ongoing issue.
Is a pile of money not spent on Disaster Recovery and risk assessments to ensure such a debacle could never happen?
Back up system probably in the same room as the main one.

It surely is.
The back up procedure should be tested regularly though and in this case it sounds like it wasnât done for âwhileenâ.

given the goings on in the Halappanavar case, a functioning IT system is up there with self actualisation on the UCH heirarchy of needs
Can you imagine some of the processes they have going on in there though
You can imagine the calibre of it lad thatâs happy to stay in a stone age environment like that
Probably some ex plasterer or brickie on a jobs bridge placement or some other similar social welfare scheme Looking after the IT infrastructure knowing the way the health service works.

Local media reporting that, at last weekâs Wexford County Council meeting, Fianna FĂĄil Councillor Malcolm Byrne (Gorey) accused his party colleague Michael Sheehan (New Ross) of stealing a Frank Underwood House of Cards speech on jobs and using it in the meeting.

I wouldnât put it past Sheehan, an awful tool.
Never fails to amaze!
Just back from a SF commemoration where the local FG politician was also in attendance and clapped at all the appropriate timesâŚeven after the speech where his party and labour were lambasted.
good article in the phoenix this week about the labour party now being opposed to neutrality
scum
Was going to put this in poor journalism but its probably more suited to here, shows how deluded these goms are

So the bould helen surfs into the dail on daddys coffin, becomes an anonymous rubber stamp and thinks this means she has risen to the challenge. No wonder enda loves her, sure didnt he do the same all those years ago
MicheĂĄl Martin couldnât help but grin smugly when he finished his Ard Fheis speech there. He seemed delighted with his delivery of it. A crowd of simpleton boggers then storming the stage to hug and kiss him.
Monty Byrnes Cork sicko. There is no one to vote for in this country.
Byrnes? Do you mean Burns ?
Michael Noonan again talking about âtwo fifteenâ and âtwo sixteenâ when delivering his Spring Statement yesterday. My word, I was seething when I saw it on the news.
Noonan got mugged off something lovely by Sean OâRourke this morning. Seriously rattled
